Designer boots for women, made to the boutique specification
Amelira's boots are built the way the boutique builds them: the same calfskin and suede, the same linings and zips, the same soles, finished by hand and priced below retail. The collection includes designer ankle boots for women, knee-high riding styles, over-the-knee boots, heeled Chelsea boots and lug-sole biker boots.
Shaft height and calf fit
Before you choose, measure your calf at the widest point and compare it with the shaft circumference listed on the product page. A knee-high boot should sit two fingers below the kneecap. Ankle boots should end just above the ankle bone, which keeps the leg line unbroken under cropped trousers. Elasticated gussets and back zips give the most adjustment.
Soles and seasons
A leather sole is the dressiest and suits dry autumn days. A rubber or lug sole is the practical choice for rain and cold pavements and does not add much weight. Shearling-lined boots are worth it if your winters are genuinely cold.
