Slide sandals with designer construction, priced below retail
A good slide is all about the footbed. The slides at Amelira are made to the same specification as the boutique version, which means the same moulded or padded footbed, the same leather or rubber band and the same hand-finished edges, at a price below retail. The range includes padded leather slides, quilted and embossed designs, rubber pool slides and flat mule slides with a closed vamp.
Which slide for which day
Padded leather slides are the all-rounder and work with shorts, jeans and summer dresses. Rubber slides are made for the pool, the gym and travel, and dry in minutes. Slides with a small block heel are the smartest of the group and pass in a restaurant. Shearling-lined slides are a winter house shoe that looks good enough to wear to the shops.
Sizing and width
Slides are listed in EU sizes with a conversion chart on every product page. Because there is no strap, the band width matters as much as the length. A wide foot should choose a slide with a broad or adjustable band; a narrow foot will be more secure in a padded style that cups the heel.
