Amelira does not run a sandal sale once a season; the whole collection sits below retail all year. Each pair is made to the same specification as the boutique version, with the same leathers, straps and buckles, and finished by hand. You will find thin-strap evening sandals, padded leather slides, wedge and platform sandals and flat thong styles for the beach.
Straps, buckles and soles
The strap layout decides how a sandal wears. Two or three straps across the foot are the most secure for walking; a single toe post is the lightest. Buckled ankle straps let you adjust the fit as your feet change through a hot day. Leather soles look sharpest, but rubber soles grip better on wet pavement, and the product page states which you are getting.
What to wear them with
Flat tan sandals suit linen trousers and summer dresses. A heeled sandal with a slim ankle strap is the evening pick and sits well under a midi hem. Chunky or platform sandals balance wide-leg trousers and oversized shirts. Metallic sandals are the shortcut for weddings and parties.
